  1. Wonerful!

Posted by Tony on 3rd Jul 2010

I just picked up my first box and, overall, it has been a wonderful experience. The produce is great. More importantly, I love the fact that my purchase is going to a greater cause. Never going back.

  2. Amazing deal, aweseom veggies!

Posted by Monique on 1st Jul 2010

I LOVE getting my CSA box. I've been getting it for about a year now. When I first started I had a very hard time identifying a lot of the veggies or knowing them. Since then, I've come to know and love a vast variety of greens, root veggies and even found some squash recipes that I like. I've gone from someone who was making prepared TJ's freezer meals all the time to someone who only cooks local, fresh foods, from scratch. My family loves it (two small, picky kids) and I love it.

It's a fantastic deal and the money goes to a great cause. You can't find an organic CSA that is a better deal! LOVE it!

  3. Fantastic veggies, great cause

Posted by Michelle on 25th May 2010

Great veggies for a great price. Perfect to eat in-season veggies, support these hardworking farmers and have it delivered to multiple locations all over LA. Thanks to all the farmers and volunteers! Keep up the great work!

  4. Yummy fresh veggies!

Posted by Unknown on 19th May 2010

This is such an awesome way to support local farmers and provide fresh, healthy food for your family!

  5. I thought I knew my veggies

Posted by Unknown on 4th Mar 2010

My very first box! I understand that it's the middle of March and all the Spring vegetables are not quite ready...the box is full of healthy beauitiful vegetables however....there are veggies that I cannot identify and I have no idea what to do with them. One of them looks like parsley that you use as decoration on a plate. I'm sure its edible but....

    Anyway, an interesting experience.

  6. amazing organic produce in South Central LA-- yes!

Posted by Cynthia Azali-Rojas on 10th Dec 2009

I can't believe it took me this long to get turned on to the SCF CSA. The produce is amazing-- so fresh, so healthy and fun to cook. I thought I cooked "healthy" before, but I had no idea what was out there. With the CSA you can eat what's in season, which is the best you can do for your body. My family and I thank SCF for the beautiful work they continue to do! PS. If you pick up on the Eastside at Proyecto Jardin you can even take cooking classes that use produce from the box. The classes are great!

  7. Spreading the word

Posted by Unknown on 6th Nov 2009

I've gotten two friends to sign up for boxes. We love getting fresh organic produce at such a deal. If there was one thing we'd change it would be for a little more variety, but overall, it's great!

  8. I'm spreading the news!

Posted by Unknown on 12th Oct 2009

The melon was the best I've ever tasted. I enjoyed cooking for days and sharing with everyone I know! I still haven't had to go to the store, 2+ weeks later because of all the leftovers! Not only is it CHEAP, it's much better QUALITY and taste than the supermarkets' produce. Don't miss out!

  9. Astounding

Posted by Cheri on 5th Oct 2009

Seriously. The quantity, variety and health of the food inside amazed me. It felt like xmas opening the box. I couldn't wait to start cooking! I've been raving about my CSA box for 2 weeks, trying to turn everyone on to it. Thank you so much!!

  10. Fun... Exciting... Healthy.... Rewarding

Posted by Christy on 3rd Sep 2009

Just some of the words I use to describe getting my first CSA box! It's such a great feeling knowing we're not only eating healthier and saving money, but also supporting our local farmers. How cool to not know what we're getting in the box till we get home and open it. I filled both our crisper drawers in our fridge with the CSA box contents. We'll definitely be back! THANK YOU!!
